TickTod Terms of Service

Effective date: July 11, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TickTod, a mobile timer, rewards, and routine-support app provided by Jorge Avila, an individual developer (“TickTod,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using TickTod, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Apple App Store terms

If you download TickTod from the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple’s applicable App Store terms, including Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement unless a separate custom licence is provided.

Read Apple’s Standard EULA

1. Who May Use TickTod

TickTod is intended for personal and family use by parents, guardians, and caregivers. Children may use TickTod only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for making sure your use of TickTod complies with these Terms and all laws that apply to you.

2. What TickTod Does

TickTod provides timer, stopwatch, profile, preset, reward, reminder, and customization features to help families make time-based routines easier to understand and follow.

TickTod is a support tool. It is not medical, psychological, therapeutic, educational, behavioral-health, parenting, or safety advice. You are responsible for deciding whether the app is appropriate for your family and for supervising children and routines in real life.

3. Licence To Use The App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use TickTod on devices you own or control, solely for your personal and family use.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit TickTod.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the app’s source code, except where applicable law does not allow this restriction.
  • Bypass, disable, or interfere with app security, payment, access-control, analytics, or technical protection features.
  • Use TickTod to violate the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or harm another person.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, abuse, overload, or interfere with the app or related services.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us and our licensors.

4. Local App Data And User Content

TickTod lets you create or store information such as profile names, optional profile photos, age ranges, timer presets, timer sessions, rewards, stars, streaks, settings, and other family routine data (“User Content”). You keep ownership of User Content stored only on your device and are responsible for the User Content you create, enter, or store in the app.

TickTod is local-first. Most app data is stored on your device and may not be backed up to, or recoverable from, TickTod servers. If you delete the app, reset your device, delete local data, lose access to the device, or move to a new device, local profiles, presets, rewards, photos, settings, and history may be lost unless iOS or another service you control has backed them up. We are not responsible for lost local data.

If you voluntarily send User Content or technical information to support, you give us the limited permission needed to investigate and respond to your request.

5. Privacy

Your use of TickTod is also governed by our Privacy Policy. It explains what information the app handles, what stays on your device, what may be collected for analytics or diagnostics, and what choices you have.

6. Analytics And Diagnostics

TickTod uses limited analytics and diagnostic information to understand app usage, improve features, and fix crashes or errors. This information is not used for targeted advertising or cross-app tracking. You can turn optional analytics and diagnostics off in the app’s Privacy settings. Our Privacy Policy identifies the providers involved and explains the information they handle.

7. Notifications, Photos, And Device Permissions

Some features require optional device permissions, such as notifications, camera, photo library, or Face ID / Touch ID through Apple’s local authentication system. You can manage these permissions through iOS Settings. Some app features may not work if you deny or disable the related permission.

8. Purchases, Subscriptions, And Trials

TickTod’s core experience is free. If optional paid features, subscriptions, free trials, or other in-app purchases are made available, they are offered through the Apple App Store and the purchase screen will describe the applicable price, term, and any trial.

If you buy a subscription or in-app purchase:

  • Payment is charged through your Apple ID account.
  • Apple manages billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and payment method issues.
  • Subscriptions may automatically renew unless canceled according to Apple’s rules before the renewal date.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • Any free trial, introductory price, promotional offer, or subscription renewal is subject to Apple’s terms and the details shown at purchase.

We may change optional paid features, prices, plans, or availability in the future, subject to applicable law and App Store rules. Unless required by law or handled by Apple, purchases are not refundable by us.

9. Restore Purchases And Family Sharing

Where supported by the App Store and TickTod, you may be able to restore paid access. Family Sharing is available only if it is enabled for the relevant purchase in the App Store. Restoring paid access does not restore local profiles, presets, rewards, photos, settings, or timer history.

10. App Changes And Availability

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue TickTod or any feature at any time. We may also add or remove free or paid features, change app behavior, perform maintenance, or fix bugs. We try to keep TickTod useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Third-Party Services And Links

TickTod may rely on third-party services such as Apple platform services, analytics, diagnostics, purchase processing, hosting, or support tools. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. TickTod may also link to websites or services we do not control. We are not responsible for third-party content, services, policies, or practices.

12. Intellectual Property

TickTod, including its software, design, text, graphics, animations, sounds, icons, trademarks, and other materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not use TickTod’s name, branding, design, assets, or content except as allowed by these Terms or with our written permission.

13. Feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback, you allow us to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you. You agree that feedback is not confidential unless we separately agree in writing.

14. Termination

You may stop using TickTod at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure for us, misused the app, or used the app in a way that harms others. After termination, your right to use TickTod ends, but sections that by their nature should continue will continue, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions.

15. Disclaimers

TickTod is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not promise that TickTod will:

  • Meet every family’s needs.
  • Prevent missed routines, accidents, conflicts, or behavioral challenges.
  • Produce any specific developmental, educational, therapeutic, parenting, or behavioral outcome.
  • Be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available on every device or operating system version.
  • Preserve local data if the app or device is deleted, reset, lost, or damaged.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

16. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost profits, lost revenue, lost goodwill, device issues, routine disruptions, or family or household consequences arising from or related to TickTod or these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to TickTod or these Terms will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid to use TickTod during the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

17. Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Jorge Avila from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to your use or misuse of TickTod, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or another person’s rights.

18. Apple-Specific Terms

If you downloaded TickTod from the Apple App Store:

  • Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for TickTod.
  • Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to TickTod, including product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, or intellectual-property-infringement claims, except as required by applicable law.
  • If TickTod fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund any purchase price paid for the app; to the fullest extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for TickTod.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
  • You must comply with applicable Apple App Store terms and usage rules.

19. Export Compliance

You may not use or export TickTod except as authorized by applicable export-control laws and regulations.

20. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights or remedies that cannot be waived under applicable consumer-protection law. Where a disclaimer, limitation, or other provision is not permitted, it applies only to the extent permitted by law.

21. Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of TickTod after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as posting the updated Terms or providing notice in the app where appropriate, and will provide any advance notice or consent required by law.

22. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding TickTod. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or transfer of assets, subject to applicable law.

23. Contact
